Fourier Hall, 1st floor 4701 N Charles St, Baltimore, MD 21212, USA
Renaissance Institute, a lifelong learning program at Notre Dame of Maryland University, will host an open house for new members on Thursday, Novermber 3, from 1 pm to 3 pm in Fourier Hall.
Renaissance Institute is a peer-taught program for those who have reached the age of 50. With more than 300 members, the institute offers two 13-week semesters of non-credit courses meeting either Tuesdays or Thursdays—or both.
Renaissance Institute’s members design and lead the curriculum based on their areas of interest and expertise. More than 50 courses are offered for Fall 2011, delving into topics as diverse as literature, health and wellness, public affairs, writing, history, philosophy, music, art, languages, film, biology, computers and theater.
An annual membership fee of $385 enables Renaissance Institute members to take as many classes as they wish each semester. In addition to unlimited enrollment in classes, Renaissance Institute members have the opportunity to audit one Women’s College course per year, attend lunchtime enrichment lectures with guest speakers of note, enjoy full privileges at the Loyola/Notre Dame Library and access exclusive travel opportunities.
To register for the open house, call Linda Kuehn at 410-532-5351. To learn more about the Renaissance Institute and view the Fall 2011 class schedule, visit www.ndm.edu/renaissance.
