Women in Visual Media Lecture Series 2014: Kelley Bell

Kelley Bell will be with us talking about her work as a visual artistic, graphic designer, and educator.

Kelley Bell is Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She teaches Graphic Design in the Visual Arts Department. Kelley incorporates animation, illustration, and many other visual media in her graphic design practice.
Her animations have been inside (and outside) of galleries and theaters as far away as Berlin, Germany and Posnan, Poland. Other screenings include the Visionary Arts Museum (Baltimore MD), the Annapolis Film Festival (Annapolis MD), The Transmodern Arts Festival (Baltimore MD), The Maryland Film Festival (Baltimore, MD), the InLight Festival (Richmond VA) and the Lumen festival (New York City, NY). She was a recipient of the Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in 2004, and a semifinalist for the Sondheim Art Prize in 2010 and 2011. Her work has been featured in The Baltimore Sun, Baltimoreʼs City Paper, and Urbanite magazine.
Kelley holds an MFA from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Imaging and Digital Arts, and a BFA in Graphic Design from Pratt Institute.
